Hello Friends In this blog , I am going give you all the information about Mall Road in Manali. I will also include a table where you can find the prices of all the items available there, So that you wont get scammed.

Mall Road is a Famous tourist spot in manali which is nearly 2 to 3 kms away from our dropping point. There are a lot of Hotels in the mall road area. We had stayed in hotels exactly beside mall road. Apart from hotels, there are many restaurants, clothing stores, small food stalls, Massage parlours, Grocery stores, local police station, and a bus stand around mall road area. The Food available over there is mostly Himachali, Tibetan, and even continental food.

It turns in a snowy heaven when ever there is a snowfall in mall road , It is the view worth watching. There were some local festival or events going on in the mall road You can come across different people comming different places to enjoy the snow and beauty of manali. I have attached an image of mall road looks like in winter.

The Best time to take a walk on the mall road is evening time. It will be full of people with wonderfull lighting around. I have noticed that People mostly prefer to eat momos and street food in manali which have there own favour on localness. They will cost you around 50 –  100 rupees. And then there are winter caps which around 100 – 150 rupees , winter jackets and local hand made jackets which will cost around 500 to 750 rupees, you do need to have good bargaining skills by the way. They will try to sell those with higher prices. And then there are clothing for kids , winter shoes approximately about 500 rupees, snow shoes not more than 500 rupees , hand gloves about 100 – 200 rupees.I have already included the prices of food in my previous blog, Do check it out for more information.

Over all It’s a fun place to explore, especially if you like street shopping for things like woolen clothes, local crafts. Since it’s a pedestrian-only zone, vehicles aren’t allowed on the main Mall Road, which adds to the relaxed experience. There is also a market name Manu Market,A vibrant market for fresh fruits, vegetables, and daily goods, along with some quirky local shops.

Old Manali

Old Manali is the another place where we can see the true ambience of manali, It is on the way through Van Vihar, There will be shops where we can get rented bikes if we want to explore manali by bike. You came across a bridge before entering old manali, there will be a river flowing under the bridge and the whole view looks pretty awesome and beautiful.

We had a chance to see the local culture and and meet local people over there. They wear different clothes , their schools are different , schools in manali ends earlier than normal timings. After we cross the bridge there will be Sports activity area where we can do zipling , river rafting and many other activities. Start Early and eat plenty of food before going to explore old manali because we had to walk a lot exploring that place.

It’s a great place for leisurely walks or just enjoying the peaceful surroundings.The area is known for its bohemian atmosphere, attracting backpackers and artists. Old Manali is known for its cozy cafes and affordable guesthouses. You can find places that serve a mix of Indian, Israeli, and Continental food. Popular spots include Cafe 1947, The Lazy Dog, and Sunshine Cafe, which are favorites among visitors. We have visited Club House a popular recreational spot managed by the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation.

Club house offers a variety of activities including indoor games like table tennis and billiards, as well as outdoor adventures like zip-lining and river crossing. Club House also has shops selling local handicrafts and a cafeteria for snacks and drinks. With its scenic location surrounded by mountains and greenery, it’s a great place for families to relax and enjoy some leisure time.

We can rent a photoshoot beside river if dont have dslr, they charge 100 rupees per photoshoot. And all the activities nearly cost around 100- 150 rupees only not more than that. If you are intrested you can buy hand-made products from club house in the clothing section. We jsut explored and came out and done some sports activities over there.
